Welcome to the first edition of Prison Agriculture Times. In this newspaper, we provide a critical account of agricultural operations in women’s prisons in the United States. We have fictionalized accounts, reflections on life behind bars, educational puzzles, and a compelling comic that speaks to how things like prison gardens can mask the conditions that lead women to prison and that might most effectively support women while incarcerated.
